Flood risk management

I specialize in flood risk analysis and design conditions for flood protection, based on statistical data analysis and hydrologic modelling. I have a PhD in computational physics from Delft University of Technology in 1999 and more than ten years of experience in water management. From 2001 to 2006, I worked for the Dutch governmental Institute for Coastal and Marine Management. In 2007, I joined WL | Delft Hydraulics, which became part of Deltares in 2008.
