Mainstreaming Disaster Risk Reduction in Indonesia

The project raises World Bank Task Team Leaders (TTL) awareness about the role of disaster risk reduction (DRR) in the context of their projects, and Indonesia in general. Task teams are supported to incorporate DRR into project identification, preparation, and supervision.  The national multi-hazard assessment used historical data to assign risk classes to each of the provinces.  The risk assessment had two outcomes: 1) Identification of high-risk provinces, allowing for detailed targeted risk assessments in Phase II, and 2) DRR education for task teams to target their preparations effectively.
