Togo Disaster Risk Management Country Program

The primary goal of the Togo DRM Country Plan is to improve flood risk management and preparedness. Key activities include an Early Warning System, improved flood response, a strengthened national disaster risk reduction platform, and cartography of the greater Lome area. A comprehensive risk assessment encompassing a hazard, asset exposure and vulnerability analysis will be completed.The risk assessment will have two outcomes: 1) Identify appropriate disaster mitigation investments, and 2) Identify risk transfer mechanisms, both for country-level prioritization.
